Successful American commercial photographer Barbara Peacock works out of Portland, Oregon. She recently began a new project where she hopes to use intimate and detailed pictures taken in bedrooms across the USA to portray the hidden and transparent complexities of who Americans are as individuals and a nation.
The subjects of her images come from all backgrounds; some are close friends of the author, while others are total strangers. She asks them to take part in the project in a variety of methods, such as via social media or by leaving a note with all the details at nearby businesses.
