To make amusing images, artist Romain Joly blends drawings with items from daily life. These illustrations were produced by Romain in 2020 as he experimented during his COVID captivity.
According to him, “I examine a lot of what is around me to gain inspiration. I also make an effort to carve out time to allow my mind wander and to ponder, for example by taking a walk. Otherwise, I frequently observe the work of other artists and jot down all of my ideas in a notebook to ensure that I don’t forget them. The drawing has to be done next, and I try many things until I discover one that I like. Also, I make an effort to take attractive images.
