Helga Stentzel, a London-based artist, transforms everyday objects into playful creative characters. Helga creates adorable and playful works out of everyday objects and food that are conquering and going viral on the Internet.
In her own words, she describes this series. “To me, household surrealism is about finding magic in the mundane, seeing beauty in imperfections, and connecting to our reality in a new way. I enjoy noticing playful similarities, whether it’s a sweater on a clothing line that looks like a horse or a slice of bread that looks like a dog’s head. However, this is only the beginning. From this point forward, stories and images begin to swirl in my head: What will this horse look like? What is her name and who is she? Does she enjoy competing against other horses? – the list goes on and on!”
