Tim Allen is one of the few actors and actresses whose roles in films and television programs are as well-known to the general public.
Despite the 69-year-long old’s tenure in a prominent position in Hollywood, neither his detractors nor his supporters have had much to say about him.
Given how many people Tim has worked with over the years, it should be obvious that he’s made his fair share of friends. After all, you’d anticipate having a who’s who of connections in your phone book.
But the man insists that there is one person in the entertainment business whom he trusts above all others. It’s fitting that a man played him in one of the best kids’ movies ever made.
During a recent appearance on the Kelly Clarkson show, Allen talked about his instant rapport with the adored Tom Hanks.
He and I don’t agree on a lot of things. I adore the heart and mind of that man,” Allen gushed about Hanks.
Recently, the A-list couple reportedly went out and about together, leading to rumors that they may be working on a new film.
We go to lunch twice a year, and since the first Toy Story, Allen remarked, “We’re like two older women because we’ll sit almost too close to each other at a booth.
In fact, Hanks removed fries from his co-plate star’s while they were filming Toy Story 1, according to Allen.
Given that he had grown up in a home where it wasn’t common practice, Allen acknowledged that he had never encountered it before.
Regarding his friendship with Tom Hanks, who played Woody in the Toy Story movie series opposite Tim Allen’s Buzz Lightyear:
And I doubt I’ve ever trusted a person as much as Tom to even hear what I have to say, and the opposite is also true. We disagree on a great deal of issues, but he has managed to win me over by being such a wonderful and interesting person. He is the first man who listens to me without passing judgment.
I don’t know about you, but it makes me feel good to see two such likeable people forging such a strong bond. Hanks and Allen have largely avoided controversy despite spending so much time at the top of their fields.
That speaks more to their moral character than anything else, in my opinion.
